OctoberPost

Ok, it's really because I'm bad with giving off title, and lazy too.

My recent huge activity was Pulau Ketam International Art Festival and my first group exhibition, CATALYSIS.
------------------------------
Pulau Ketam International Art Festival 2014, I was one of the artist represent Malaysia. My mission:

to create an installation art based on the special features of Pulau Ketam
(fyi, it's a swamp island, not sandy island)

and

do 2 painting for charity purpose
(for donating to the school)

...but however because of lack of time, I only mange to finish the installation art and finish one painting.

海乡女孩
(The Girl who live by the Sea)
2014
Oil on Canvas
3 ft x 3 ft

I fell in love with this little girl at first sight, who was a daughter of a fisherman there. And very much wanted to paint her since then. Chases after her for 2 days to get the image that I'm looking for.
WAS to give 2 painting to school...however  I present this painting as a gift to their family who contribute a lot during the festival. :)

[but still I have to find some time and go back to finish the 2 painting that was promised 。。。囧]

The Installation Art
My first attempt of Installation art in....exposed environment. Artists are given a thought of best presenting artwork that sync with the environment of Pulau Ketam (example: rising tide and ebb tide of the island).

Beside the impression of tides of the island, the island is quite dark during night time too. Street lights are not available in every place/ road. When I was flipping through a book about installation art , I came to a thought of " What if, there is something that could light up by itself without using electrical stuff?"

The answer to my question is

Fluorescent

After several discussion and blahblahblah...the artwork produced is this!

Fluorescent paint at a place called the couple bridge,情人桥
(谢谢阿村的超级大灯)

This is how it looks like during day time, white paint as based and unseen fluorescent as topping...
And how it sort of look like from the port

Because this artwork is bit of ' low profile'(低调=w=) and it's only super good to play with during night time, so not much people know of it. Anyway of course I'm here to promote it!

Just on your phone's torchlight and draw/ write with light on the bridge!

And,  my name
